This coffee placed #3 in this year's Cup of Excellence competition. The rich body and subtle sweetness of this offering come together in what we believe to be a remarkably balanced cup. At first sip, you will be greeted by the flavor of honey graham crackers followed by a lingering aftertaste of dark chocolate syrup. As the cup cools, you'll notice a low and rounded acidity reminiscent of dried stone fruit and grapefruit. Grab a tin online or stop by the shop to give it a try!
Finca Karmél is a property in the village of San Luis Planes, Santa Bárbara in Honduras. Passed down from his father, Elías Yeltsin Hernández Tejada now oversees the land aptly named after the Hebrew word meaning "Garden of God."
Elías began working with specialty coffee in 2018, trying to bring out the best offerings the land could provide. Seven years of perseverance and persistence later, he now holds the high honor of 3rd place in the Cup of Excellence competition. We consider ourselves lucky to be able to enjoy the fruits of his labor and undying passion for the coffees produced at Finca Karmél.
